The Colorado School of Mines (CSOM) Baseball Team invites GLL/GJBA players to attend & participate in pre-game batting practice activities on Saturday and Sunday home games during April & May.  GLL/GJBA players (25 max per slot) will be allowed onto the baseball field during pre-game batting practice with CSOM players and coaches to help shag/collect batted balls in the outfield, assist with pregame field prep as needed, and escort CSOM players onto the field for the pregame National Anthem. 

• GLL/GJBA players:
  • Ages 09-14 ONLY
  • Arrive at 9:30 a.m. to help with 9:40 batting practice - the 1st game of the double header starts at 12-noon.
  • Must bring a glove, a hat, and wear their GLL/GJBA game jersey.
  • May also bring their bat, as some players have also been allowed to hit balls in CSOM batting cage during warm-ups.
  • Are welcome to stay and watch the CSOM baseball game afterwards.
  • Shall sign up for ONLY one time slot per season.
  • Gain valuable insight into the CSOM baseball program.
• GLL/GJBA parents/guardians:
  • May park vehicles in Lot #K on the CSOM campus, which is positioned at the far west end of 11th Street in Golden, and located north of the centerfield fence of Jim Darden Baseball Field.  Parking in this lot is supposedly free to anyone on weekends.
  • Shall be required to sign an in-person safety waiver prior to their player's participation.
